The Perfect Night

picnic-night

Tonight’s gonna be perfect.

The man that I had secretly been admiring for months a.k.a. Mr. Brown Eyes was at the same party as me.
I caught him staring at me a few times, so I acted graceful, refined, well, not considering the amount of alcohol I had consumed since I was here.

I saw him walking towards me, eyes twinkling as he smiles.

“Hi…! I’m Eric.” He introduced himself.

“Ellie…” I responded shyly as I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.

We went out the balcony since the music got a little louder and we can’t understand each other anymore, plus, the alcohol was making me a bit dizzy.

All I can remember was that we were staring into space under the full moon and a sea full of stars.

I wish he will kiss me.

Twinkle, twinkle little star, please grant my wish tonight.

“The moon is beautiful.” I said to him while looking at the sky. “It makes this evening perfect.”

“This will make it perfect…!” He whispered pulling me near him, drawing his lips closer to mine, closing his eyes.

He is finally going to kiss me!

Good job, little star!

I closed my eyes while fighting the feeling of nausea that was screaming inside my throat ever since we moved to the balcony.

I almost felt his breath on my cheek.

And I tossed out everything I ate and drunk that night, right in front of his face.

I have a feeling I’m not going to see him again.
