Love Notes, Poem

The Proposal

He kneels on the ground.
Holds something that is round.
“Will you marry me?” He pops the question,
And my mouth drops to such confession.

Tears fall from my eyes,
I wasn’t expecting this kind of surprise.
He stares at me, waiting for my response,
Yes, of course, yes! I am still in a trance.

He hugs me tight, a smile on his face.
I close my eyes and drown from his embrace.
Maybe I’m still dreaming, don’t wake me up.
This is a fantasy no one dares to disrupt.

I know he is the one I want to spend my life with,
And as long as I am breathing, I will love him till death.
